Edwin F. Haase
Of Mt. Prospect
Edwin F. Haase, formerly of
Evanston, was born May 29,
1919 in Chicago, Illinois to
Edwin F. and Anna (nee
Arndt) Haase. He died
Tuesday, November 20, 2007
at Glenbrook Hospital in
Glenview, Illinois.
Before retiring in 1992, Mr.
Haase worked as a machinist
for many years. During his
career he was employed by
Kraft Foods, International
Harvester, Nabisco and the
Chicago Tribune from 1980
until he retired. He served
in the Army during WW II and
was involved in the
liberation of Dachau
concentration camp and
served two years of
occupation. He was a member
of the Prospect Heights
Lions Club for 10 years and
was a 60-year member of the
International Association of
Machinists (IAM).
Edwin’s survivors include
his wife of 33 years, Muriel
nee Lohmann, whom he married
June 21, 1974; his sons
Edwin M. (Dayle) Haase of
Leesburg, Ronald F. (Kriss)
Haase of Birmingham, Mich.,
and Robert G. (Nancy) Haase
of El Toro, Calif.; his
step-children Patricia
(James) Baudendistel of
Highland Park, John Robert
(Ramona) Hull of
Summerville, SC and Joan
(John) Marotta of Inverness;
his grandchildren Jason and
Kelli Haase, Michael and
Lynn Baudendistel, Jenna,
Joseph and Jordan Rose
Marotta and Johnson Hull;
and his nieces Gloria (Tom)
Andrews and Glenda (Jerry)
Katt.
He is preceded in death by
his first wife Mildred nee
Baker; his daughter Mary
Anne; and his sister Ruth
Warren
