Martha Streger
Of Arlington Heights

Martha Streger, over 50 year resident of Arlington Heights, was born May 21, 1905, in Cisco, Texas to Emil and Marie (nee Blum) Griephan. She died Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Church Creek Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights where she has been residing for the last nine years.

Mrs. Streger was a life long member of Faith Lutheran Church where she participated in the Altar Guild and was an active supporter. She was an avid gardener and grew prize winning peonies and was known for her crocheting and needlework.

Her survivors include her daughters Esther Voise and Ruth (Leonard) Anderson, both of Arlington Heights; her grandchildren Valerie (Don) Ward, Adrienne (Rick) Mottweiler, Craig (Sharon) Anderson and Scott (Carol) Anderson; her great grandchildren Lindsay Ward, Courtney (Kiyoshi) Ihara, Jennifer Ward, Brooke and Mike Mottweiler, Caitlin, Chase and Trent Anderson.

Martha is preceded in death by her husband William F. Streger and her son-in-law Martin Voise.

Visitation from 2:00 PM until time of Funeral service 3:00 PM, Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Faith Lutheran Church, 431 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment private.

Arrangements by the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., Arlington Heights.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Faith Lutheran Church Altar Guild or to a charity of donor’s choice.
