James Stuart Swaziek
Of Arlington Heights for 35 years

James Stuart Swaziek age 79 was born September 17, 1927 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Arnold and Agnes (nee Buchanan) Swaziek. He died Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at home after a brief illness.

Mr. Swaziek retired after 35 years as an International Buyer with Montgomery Ward Corporate office in Chicago and initiated many product lines. He was a member of the American Legion Merle Guild Post #208 and Kiwanis International. Jim served with the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII, and Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years Nancy Grace (nee Pendell) whom he married on September 16, 1961; his children Cheryl Catherine (John) Dreska of Lindenwood, IL, Lucinda Rae (Anthony) Fioretti of Waukesha, Wisconsin and Stuart James (Shannon) Swaziek of Wawatosa, Wisconsin; his six grandchildren, three foster grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was a devoted husband and father and was very proud of his children’s accomplishments. Their support during these past few months has been very appreciated.

Funeral Mass will be held 1:00 PM Friday, November 3, 2006 at St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Entombment at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
