James Ramicone
Of Arlington Heights

James Ramicone, a 37 year resident of Arlington Heights, was born October 19, 1934 in Chicago to Joseph and Carmella (nee Bagnola) Ramicone. He died Saturday, November 12, 2005 at home after a courageous year and a half battle with cancer.

Mr. Ramicone was a former co-owner and president of RD Sales a sportswear company. He served in the Coast Guard during the Korean War and was a member of the Regents Social Club.

James' survivors include his wife of 47 years, Carol A. nee Moran, whom he married January 31, 1959; his children Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Chamberlain of Arlington Heights, Christine (John) McGinn of Arlington Heights, Robin (Thomas) Holum of Arlington Heights, and Joseph (Mary Jo) Ramicone of Countryside; his 14 grandchildren Jeffrey, Timothy, Brian, Patrick and James Chamberlain, Anthony, Ashley and Jessica McGinn, Nicole, Emily and Caroline Holum, James, Jonathan and Catherine Ramicone; his sister Jo Anne Geever; his sisters-in-law Patricia (Thomas) Riley and Joy Ramicone and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Anthony Ramicone.

Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Burial at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Emily Ann Holum Fund, C/O Glueckert Funeral Home.
