William Michael Marquette
Of Mt. Prospect
William Michael Marquette, formerly of Arlington Heights, was born April
22, 1947 in Chicago to William D. and June (nee Johnson) Marquette. He
died Friday, November 26, 2004 at Veterans Administration Medical Center
in North Chicago.
Mr. Marquette was a manager of his father's bar and restaurant, Knight's
Pub, before he embarked on a stellar career as owner of the world famous
Billy Club restaurant and bar in Arlington Heights.
William served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a
member of the Arlington Heights American Legion, Merle Guild Post #208
and member of the Marine Corps League.
His survivors include his sons Chad M. (Dana) Marquette of Coleville,
Calif., Brandon P. Marquette of Mt. Prospect, and Brett N. (Becki) of
Schaumburg; his grandchildren Bradley D., Matthew A., Alexa R. and
Brianna N. Marquette; his mother June Marquette; his sisters Kim (Tom)
Nestleberger and Mary (Daniel) Rohr and his brother Steve Marquette.
He is preceded in death by his father William and his beloved former
father-in-law Wally Niemann, who passed two days prior to Bill's
passing.
Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2004 from
2:00 until 5:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N.
Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington
Heights.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Alcoholics
Anonymous, 200 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 501, Chicago, IL 60601.
