Walter C. Niemann
Of Arlington Heights

Walter C. Niemann, formerly of Buffalo Grove, was born February 18, 1922 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Gus and Maria (nee Langer) Niemann. He died Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at his home.

Mr. Niemann was a tool & die maker for Cardinal Tool in Palatine for over 30 years before retiring in 1989.

His survivors include his daughters Barbara Korbel of Lake Zurich and Mary M. Marquette of Barrington; his grandchildren Bridget (Michael) Stodden, Brian (Yvonne) Korbel, Sgt. Chad (Dana) Marquette, Brandon Marquette and Brett (Becki) Marquette; 7 great grandchildren; his sister Gertrude Weiss; his sisters-in-law Betty and Edna Niemann and many nieces and nephews.

Walter is preceded in death by his wife Blanche Marie Niemann, his son-in-law Robert Korbel and his brother-in-law George Weiss.

Visitation Sunday, November 28, 2004 from 3:00 until 8:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers will be held 9:15 AM, Monday, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., proceeding to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 S. Hager, Barrington, IL 60010.
