Marianne T. Rooney was born on February 17, 1956 in Youngstown, Ohio to John and Anne (nee Goode) Traynor.

Marianne was a devoted Special Education Teacher at Cooper Middle School in Buffalo Grove.

Marianne is survived by her children Robert W. Rooney III and Magen Anne Rooney; siblings, Teresa (Barry) Locke, John (Anne Marie) Traynor, and George (Vianne) Traynor; and former spouse, Robert W. Rooney Jr.

She was preceded in death by mother, Anne Traynor and father, John Traynor.

Visitation Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004. Memorial Mass 11:30 am, Friday at St. James Catholic Church, 831 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004. Interment is private.
