Richard Joseph Czapla

Richard Joseph Czapla was born on November 27, 1937 in Chicago to Joseph and Mary (nee Kocanski) Czapla. He died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in Barrington.

Mr. Czapla worked for International Minerals & Chemical Corporation until his retirement. He was a member of the Arlington Heights American Legion Post 208 and Knights of Columbus. He was very proud of his Polish heritage.

Richard is survived by his spouse of 43 years, Sarah (nee Enna) Czapla; his children, Maria (Jim) Melchert, and Joseph (Annmarie nee Ioriatti) Czapla; his grandchildren, Nathan, Mia, Brandon, and Jonathan; his brother, Robert (Diane) Czapla; his niece, Kimberly and nephew, Geoffrey.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Hts Rd., Arlington Hts. Prayers 10:45 am, Monday, October 22, 2012 at the funeral home proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Hts Rd., Arlington Hts for Mass at 11:30 am. Burial at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
