William A. Krewer
Of Arlington Heights

William A. Krewer was born on October 28, 1922 in Chicago, to William and Leah (nee Fethler) Krewer. He passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Krewer worked as a chemist for Union Oil of California. He was an active member and volunteer at St. Edna Parish. He served in the Army with the 529th Signal Operations Company during WWII.

William is survived by his children, William (Susan) Krewer, Kenneth (Carol) Krewer, Gerard (Diana) Krewer, Katherine Krewer Cleary, Robert Joseph Krewer, John (Lisa) Krewer, Raymond Thomas Krewer and Elizabeth (Brett) Coughlin; his 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Barbara (the late Dennis) Scherer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Regina Krewer; and his brother, Richard (the late Irene) Krewer.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday, October 19, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights and Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to a favorite charity.
