Roy V. Andersen was born on September 1, 1938 in Chicago to Roy and Ruth (nee Hansen) Andersen. He passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012 in Arlington Heights.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge 1163 for over 35 years.

Roy is survived by his wife of 52 years Joyce (nee Haerle); his children, David (Joan) Andersen and Christine (Kevin) Zilch; his grandchildren, Lauren Andersen, Tiffany (Luke) Engelhardt, Collin (Brett) Steller, Sarah Andersen, Matthew Zilch, Austin Andersen; his great grandson, Eli Steller; and his sister, Karen (Ron) Ayers; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights and Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9:00 am until the time of services at 10:00 am. Interment Elmwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church or to the Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter, 2050 Claire Court, Glenview, IL 60025.
