Mark D. O'Rourke was born on February 8, 1953 in Brockton, Mass. to James and Julia (McSorley) O'Rourke. He passed away on October 15, 2011 in Arlington Heights.
Mark worked as a Sales Associate for Home Depot. He was an accomplished chef and enjoyed helping others with home improvement projects.
He is survived by his loving spouse of 30 years, Kathleen; two daughters, Andrea Jean O'Rourke and Julia Elizabeth O'Rourke; his son, Matthew Dillon O'Rourke; two brothers, Peter O'Rourke and Christopher (Sallye) O'Rourke; and his two sisters, Mary (Richard) Badley and Nancy (Wayne) Truax.
He was preceded in death by Father, James O'Rourke; his mother, Julia O'Rourke; his brother, Phillip O'Rourke; and his sister, Jean O'Rourke.
Memorial visitation Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights. Memorial Mass 10:00 AM Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Saint Mary Catholic Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove. Interment private.
