Marian V. Balcom was born on December 18, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois to Stanley and Emma (nee Davis) Bryant. She died Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Crystal Pines Rehab & Health Care Center, Crystal Lake where she resided for several years.
Mrs. Balcom was a homemaker.
Marian is survived by her daughters Dorothea (Anthony) Witthoff, Mary (Patrick) Layco, Kathleen (Albert) Vincek, Eileen (Michael) Balcom-Vetillo, Patricia (Neil) OBrien, Ann (Timothy) Spears; her grandchildren Russ, Heather and Lauren; her great grandchildren Eileen and Aidan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John F., her parents, and her sisters Sr. Emily Marie Bryant SP and Eleanora Walsh.
Visitation from 2:00 PM until 7:00PM, Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights, Illinois and Monday, October 17, 2011 from 9:00 am, until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Alzheimer’s Assn., 225 N. Michigan Ave, Chicago, 60601.
