Robert (Bob) E. Reschke, 52, went home to be with His Lord on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Bob was the son of Arthur (late) and Dorislee (nee Giesler) Reschke.
Bob was a member and past Elder of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Prospect Heights. After high school, he worked at his father’s tool and die business until 1996 when he left his career to become caregiver of his 3 children. Bob had a passion for flying and obtained his private pilot’s license. He also enjoyed playing guitar, loved outdoor cooking, the beach, and traveling with his wife.
Bob is survived by his wife, Cindy (nee Oswald) Reschke; his children, Tegan, Alex and Robin; and his siblings, Elynn Haden of Coatesville, PA; Don (Stella) Reschke of Owego, NY, and Jeff (Tanya) Reschke of Paso Robles, CA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, October 14, 2011 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, and from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 304 W. Palatine Rd., Prospect Heights, with Pastor Dan Teller, officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Feed My Starving Children, 401 93rd Ave. NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433.
