Edward J. Magiera
Of Algonquin

Edward J. Magiera was born on April 27, 1933 in Chicago to Edward and Veronica (nee Stanczyk) Magiera. He passed away on October 27, 2010 in Hoffman Estates.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War before working at M & M Mars Company in Chicago. Edward loved his family and was loved by all.

Edward is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gail (nee Winnick) Magiera; his children, Jill Magiera of Palatine, Joel Magiera of Elgin and Dwayne (LuWayne) Magiera of Plainfield; his grandchildren, Matthew and Joshua Magiera ; many nieces and nephews; his sisters, Virginia (the late Kenneth) Spink, Elaine (Frank) Johnson and Patricia Haughey.

Visitation 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Prayer service 12:00 PM, Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
