James Lee Rateike
Of Arlington Heights

James Lee Rateike was born on October 22, 1947 in Des Plaines to Leonard Otto and Hilda Marie (nee Stoeckel) Rateike. He died October 4, 2010 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Rateike worked for Northwest Community Hospital, St. Peter Lutheran Church and Illinois Range Company. He was a 40 year member of the Arlingtones Barbershop Chorus.

James is survived by his wife, Catherine Ann (nee Liotta) Rateike, whom he married on August 21, 1977 at St. Peter Lutheran Church; his children, Elizabeth Rateike-Collins and Susan Rateike; his siblings, Kenneth L. (Jane) Rateike, Donald (Anita) Rateike and Audrey (Robert T.) Kowall.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd.,(four blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and from 9:00 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 9, 2010 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive St., Arlington Heights. Interment Randhill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Northwest Special Recreation Association, 3000 W. Central Road, Suite 205, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008.
