Scott Warren Broertjes was born June 18, 1956 in Hazel Crest, Illinois to Harold R. Broertjes and Carol F. nee Koehn. He died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the Lodge Hospice in Elko, Minnesota.
Mr. Broertjes a co-owner of KMT Company in Wheeling. He loved to travel and was a collector of antique cobalt items. Scott was a superb salesman and was loved by and will be missed by all.
His survivors include his mother Carol (Les) Thielman of Prospect Heights, his father Harold Broertjes of Hammond, Ind.; his siblings mark Broertjes, Sherry (Larry) Gianneschi, Sandra Lee Thielman, Scott Thielman and Mark (Janet) Thompson; his friend Kent Tiedt; many nieces and nephews; his great niece and great nephew .
Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Thursday, October 23, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights and Friday, October 24, 2008 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 304 W. Palatine Rd., Prospect Heights, from 10:00 AM until the time of the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Committal Service 1:00 PM, at St. Paul Cemetery, Flossmoor, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
