Elisabeth Roos was born November 29, 1917 in Gross St. Nickolaus, Romania. She died Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Lexington of Lake Zurich Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Roos was a homemaker and former store clerk at Elkan Finer Foods and salesperson for Roehrich Furniture.
Her hobby and greatest joy was baking. Her Christmas cookies were legendary and her family always looked forward to them. Elisabeth took wonderful care of her handicapped grandson. She was a member of Donaschwaben.
Her survivors include her son John (Alice) Roos of Hazelhurst, Wisconsin; her son-in-law Siegfried Becker of Arlington Heights; her grandchildren Christine (Jeff) Drake, Paul Becker, John (Judy) Roos and Robert (Katie) Roos; her great grandchildren Bram and Sean Drake, Michael and Tyler Roos, Ryan, Trevor and Emily Roos.
Elisabeth is preceded in death by her husband Anton; her daughter Lottie Becker; her sister Eva Roehrich and her brother John Roehrich.
Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Monday, October 20, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Mary Catholic Church 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial at St. Mary Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Glenkirk, 3504 Commercial Ave., Northbrook, IL 60062.
