September 3, 1935 in
Chicago to Robert W.
Sr. and LaVerne (nee
Motzfeldt) Chantry.
He passed away on
October 3, 2008 in
Barrington.
Bob grew up and
lived most of his
life in the Chicago
area. He earned a
degree
in business
administration and a
masters degree at
Northern Illinois
University.
He was a veteran of
the U.S. Army. He
had a successful
career in
information
systems management
including Vice
President of
information
management at
Children's Memorial
Hospital. He enjoyed
traveling to Europe.
And had a passion
for Corvettes and
Cadillacs and
sharing a Grey Goose
with friends. Bob
was a true gentleman
and a dedicated
father. He will be
missed greatly.
He is survived by
his children, Susan
(Roger) Williams of
Encinitas, CA, Bob (Iraima)
Chantry of San
Diego, CA, Steve
Chantry of
Bakersfield, CA and
Christopher (Tracy)
Chantry of Chicago;
his grandchildren,
Grace and Shelby
Williams and Robert
William Chantry III.
He was preceded in
death by his parents
and his wife, Grace
A. (nee Hansen).
