Maurice J. Pigott
Of Arlington Heights

Maurice J. Pigott, formerly of Winnetka, was born July 6, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York to
Clinton and Teresa (nee Ford) Pigott. He died Friday, October 12, 2007 at Northwest
Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Pigott started his career with American Can and later National Can where he was
an Executive Vice President and General Manager before retiring in 1986. He later
started a family company, Nucon Corporation, of Deerfield, where he was Chairman
and CEO until the time of the sale of the company in 2002.

Maurice served in the US Army as a Master Sergeant with the 288th Combat Engineers
and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He was honored with the Kentucky Colonel
title bestowed by the Governor of Kentucky, Louie B. Nunn in 1971.

His survivors include his wife of 60 years, Paula R. nee Stephens, whom he married
October 5, 1947; his children Peter S. (Mary C.) Pigott of Wilmette, Schuyler F. (Rita R.) Pigott of Arlington Heights, Brandon L. (Nina S.) Pigott of Wilmette and Sheila P. (Jim) Matthews of DelMar, Calif.; his 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Maurice is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Clinton.

Internment will be private. A memorial celebration honoring Maurice’s life will be held at Michigan Shores, 911 Michigan Ave, Wilmette, IL 60091 from 4-7 PM on Thursday October 18, 2007. All those who knew and loved Maury and Paula are invited to attend the celebration.
