Colleen M. Ptack

Colleen M. Ptack was born October 19, 1957 in Edenton, North Carolina. She died October 30, 2006 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

Mrs. Ptack was a dedicated Registered Nurse working in pediatrics and geriatrics for over 28 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church Women’s Club, a volunteer for the St. Vincent de Paul Society and many other activities at St. Mary’s Church and School. Colleen was also a volunteer for the St. Viator High School Parent Student Association.

Her survivors include her husband of over 25 years, Allen; her children: Jennifer, Kristen, Matthew, Theresa, Andrew and Daniel; her parents Joan (Paul) Brand and Thomas Kavanagh, Sr.; her grandmother Leona Derwent; her siblings: Thomas Kavanagh, Jr., John (Susan) Kavanagh, Mary (Michael) Powell, and Michael (Sharon) Kavanagh; her step-siblings Tracey (Stephen) Caravello and Michelle (Kevin) Hart, her brother-in-law Edward Ptack; her aunt Marjorie (Ralph) Cummings and uncle Richard (Doris) Ptack and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Friday, November 3, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Saturday, November 4, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Mary Catholic Church 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial at St. Mary Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, family requests Masses be celebrated or memorial contributions be given to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Mary Church in Buffalo Grove.
