John Joseph Byrne was born in Ireland on December 11, 1927 to Jack and Una (nee Bonner) Byrne. He died in Lake Zurich on October 7, 2006.
He is survived by his wife, LaVerne (nee Anderson), his children, Niall (Sheila) Byrne of Chicago, Deirdre Kilgallon of Chicago, Mary Byrne of Mundelein, Sean (Lisa) Byrne of Lake in the Hills and Brian (Margaret) Byrne of Schaumburg, his step children, Alan (Yvette) Scimeca and Richard (Kris) Scimeca, his grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Kevin, Kelly, Meghan, Davis, John, Thomas, Connor, Carolyn, Valerie, Grace, Rene, Ryan, Steven and Jonathan, his sisters, Bridgid, Maeve and Patricia and his brothers, Cornelius, Conal and Bernard.
He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (nee Mooney) and his sister, Maureen.
Visitation Tuesday, October 10, 2006 from 3 PM until 9 PM at the GlueckertFuneral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Funeral services 10:30 AM Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
