Guenter Malitz, age 84, was born May 26, 1922, to Wilhelm and Martha Malitz in Berlin Germany. He died Friday October 6, 2006 at Church Creek Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights,

Gunter was an Architect for United Airlines for 31 years retiring in 1998. He helped design Terminal 1 at O’Hare Airport for United Airlines.

Survivors include his wife Angela (nee Behrens). Son: Jorg (Maureen) Malitz of Glenview. Grandchildren: Ryan, Tom and Mark.

His parents precede him in death.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 9, 2006 from 12 Noon until time of Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
