Lura Weitman Greeley

Formerly of Arlington Heights

Lura Weitman Greeley was born July 26, 1927, in Roundup, Montana to Waldemar Ernst and Vera (nee Killion) Weitman.  She died October 9, 2005 at her home in Cape Coral, Florida.   

Ms. Greeley was an elementary school teacher for School Dist. #57 in Mt. Prospect at Westbrook and Fairview Schools for 28 years, retiring in 1994.  She was a member of PEO Chapter ER.   Lura enjoyed playing bridge, golf, reading, attending performing arts and concerts at Ravinia.

Her survivors include her children Paula (Jeff) Berg of Cape Coral, Fla., William (Marion) Greeley, Island Lake, Ill.  Bradley Greeley of Cape Coral, Fla.; her grandchildren Kristin (David) Schufman and Tiffany Faczek; her great grandchildren Samantha, Jacquelyn and Jakob; her sisters Frances (Klaus) Neukirch, Jeanette (William) Colwell and her brother Paul (Karen) Weitman; and several nieces and nephews.

Lura is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Dale.

Memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 22, 2005 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights where her family will receive guests from Noon AM until the time of the Memorial Service.
