Edward J. Kotowski

Of Prospect Heights

Edward J. Kotowski was born February 2, 1917 in Chicago, IL to John and Serafina (nee Andracki) Kotowski.  He died October 9, 2005 at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview.

Mr. Kotowski was a retired map draftsman, employed by Nystrom in Chicago for many years.    He served in the Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion.

Edward is survived by his wife of 59 years, Emily A. (nee Wisniewski) whom he married on April 27, 1946 in Chicago; his children Philip E. (Sandra) of Prospect Heights and Barbara A. (Michael) Herzog of Louisville, KY; his grandchildren, Brian and Kimberly Kotowski, and Sarah and Stephanie Herzog; his siblings, Anthony (Eleanor), Bruno, Leonard, and Genevieve Kotowski; and his sister in law Helen Erickson.

He is preceded by his parents and his sister, Helen Beres.

Funeral Mass 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights.  Visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Burial will be private.
