Joan A. Stach was born on September 25, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Melvin and Ruth (nee Spohnholtz) Sunderlin. She died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Joan worked as a Secretary for several medical groups over her career. She was a life-long Service League Volunteer at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

Joan is survived by her children Jeffrey H. Stach, Brad (wife Casey) Stach, and Jill (husband Rick) Kunz; grandmother to six and great-grandmother to six; by her sister Diane (husband Donald) Sonnenberg, and brother Wayne (wife Marjorie) Sunderlin, proud aunt of 5 nephews, 2 special cousins, and a friend to many and loved by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold and her parents..

Visitation from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois, until the 11:00 am Funeral Service, Saturday, September 29, 2012. Burial will take place at Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Lutheran General Hospital Service League, 1775 Dempster Street, Park Ridge, Illinois 60068.
