Shirley Anne Erd

Shirley Anne Erd was born on February 2, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, to William and Anne (nee Conroyd) Irwin. She died Saturday, September 15, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Erd was a homemaker. She graduated from Josephinum High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Mundelein College. She was an avid piano player and she enjoyed sharing this talent with her family and friends throughout her life. Her faith filled life inspired her family and friends and everyone she touched.

Shirley is survived by her children Bill (Linda) Erd, Marianne (Rolley) Bateman, Maureen Wagner, Carol (Matt) Schroeder, Mary Fran (Bill) O'Brien; her 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Erd; her daughter, Diane Rowlett; and her parents.

Visitation from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prayers 9:15 AM, Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM.
