Carla L. Hoffman was born on July 11, 1939 in Chicago to Carl and Hattie (nee Stude) Swanson. She died Saturday, September 15, 2012 in Park Ridge.

Carla is survived by her children, Frederic (Susan) Hoffman III and Patricia (George) Hickey; her grandchildren, George (Shannon) Hickey, Elyse (Joseph) Mancuso, Eric Hoffman, Amber Hickey, Claire Hoffman, Stephen Hoffman and Mark Hoffman; and her sister, Barbara (the late Andrew) Nelsen.

She was preceded in death by her son, Carl J. Hoffman; her parents; and her sister, Marlene Reding.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights where funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 19, 2012. Interment St. Luke Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of Illinois, 310 W. Lake St., Suite 111, Elmhurst, IL 60126.
