Marie C. Desir was born February 1, 1935 in Arniquet, Haiti. She passed away on September 10, 2012 in Long Grove.

Marie is survived by her son, Jean-Alix (Kathleen) Peralte of Long Grove and her granddaughter, Maya Peralte.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Funeral Mass 9:30AM Saturday, September 15, 2012 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 5472 S. Kimbark Avenue, Chicago. Interment Private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given the American Cancer Society, 1114 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
