Edward L. Majewski
Of Arlington Heights
Edward Lee Majewski was born December 24, 1947
in Springfield, IL to John and Mary (nee
Pavletich) Majewski. He died September 7, 2012
in Arlington Heights.
Ed served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He
was an active member of the Knights of Columbus
Holy Rosary Council. While serving with the
Knights of Columbus Ed was a District Deputy for
the State of Illinois, a Grand Knight for
Council 4483 and Faithful Navigator of St.
Elizabeth Ann Seton Assembly 2410. Ed was a
retired computer analyst for United Airlines and
served on the United employees retirement board.
He was an official for various sports for
Chicago area Park Districts. He was an avid
bowler, fisherman, gardener, accordion player
and SF Giants fan, as well as a world traveler.
Ed is survived by his mother; his sisters Joanne
(William) Brockschmidt of Springfield, Judy
(Greg Bock) Majewski of St. Charles, Chris
(Doug) Sundeen of Rockford and Deanna Majewski
of Santa Monica, CA; his nephews Kevin, Aaron,
Scott, Andrew and by his niece Stephanie.
Ed is preceded in death by his father.
Visitation Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 5
PM until 8 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd,
1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington
Heights, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) and
Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of funeral Mass
at 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 700
S. Meier Rd., Mt. Prospect. Burial at Camp
Butler Cemetery, Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may
be given to The Knights of Columbus Holy Rosary
Council 4483, 15 N. Hickory Avenue, Arlington
Heights, IL 60004.
