Robert A. “Bones” Skelton

Robert A. “Bones” Skelton, 72, of Arlington Heights, beloved husband of
Maureen (nee McShane) Skelton; loving father of Colleen (the late Cary)
Jan, Robert (Karla), John (Julie), Brian, and Tony Skelton; loved
step-father of Robert Lively, and Julie (Ken Kaczor) Lively; cherished
grandfather of Alex, Sharon, Shawn, Maggie, Jack, Ava, and Reid, and
great-grandfather of Isabella; dear brother of Peggy (the late Larry)
Hegland, and the late James (Camille) Skelton.; and fond uncle and
great-uncle of many.
Robert was born on the west side of Chicago, attended Resurrection grade
school, Fenwick and Austin High School. “Bones” had a love of football.
He achieved all city and state status. He was a member of IBEW Local
134. Bones was truly one of a kind that touched a countless number of
lives. AA and the grace of God was his savior.
Visitation 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, September 20, 2011at the
Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks
south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Memorial Mass 10:00 AM
Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Old St. Patrick’s Church, 700 W. Adams,
Chicago.
