Of Arlington Heights
Bernice A. Malik was born July 27, 1920 in Chicago to Thomas and Tekla (nee Bogasz) Sobon. She passed away on Friday, September 24, 2010 at Manor Care of Rolling Meadows.
She is survived by her children, Connie (Hank) Ternes and Ron Malik; her grandchildren, Tanya and Christopher (Fran Hackler); her sister, Jean (the late Laddie) Simek; her sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Clifford) Malik; and her many nieces and nephews.
Bernice is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond I. Malik; her siblings, Rose (the late John) Zbylut, John (the late Irene) Sobon, Anne (the late Richard) Andrzejczak, and Angeline (the late Frank) Simek.
Visitation is from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Entombment is at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Vitas Hospice, 580 Waters Edge Drive, Lombard, IL 60148.
