Nora C. Brawley was born on September 28, 1923 to Michael and Annie O’Malley in Chicago. She died on September 17, 2010 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

She was a devoted wife and mother whose primary focus was her family.

Nora is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert J. Brawley; her sons, Jack (Mary Karen) Brawley of Burlington, WI, Mike (Marybeth) Brawley of Arlington Heights and Mark (Christine) Brawley of Arlington Heights; her daughter, Kathy (Kevin) Cavanagh of Naperville; her grandchildren, Katie, Michael, Nora and Meredith Brawley, Faith (Erin) O’Tool, Claire, Anne, Tricia and Kevin Brawley, Brian, Matthew, Patrick and Jennifer Cavanagh, Sara and Sean Brawley; her great grandchildren, Nora and Annie O’Tool; her siblings, Johnny, Edward, Margaret and Mary.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Robert M. and Thomas Brawley; her brothers, Martin and Michael O’Malley; and her sister-in-law, Sr. Ann Kathleen Brawley.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Monday, September 20, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Emily Catholic Church, 1400 E. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
