Barbara L. Kapolnek was born January 2, 1939 in Chicago to Fred and Dorothy (nee Gliffe) Mysliwiec. She passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 in Arlington Heights.

Barbara was a loving mother who also enjoyed gardening and caring for her beloved pets.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard Kapolnek, whom she married on February 15, 1958 in Chicago; her children, Jeffry Kapolnek, Brian (Lori) Kapolnek, Kim (Ed) Dudzinski, Cathy Hudson, and Alan Kapolnek; her grandchildren, Amy, Jennifer, Kristen, John, Daniel, Jennifer, Steven, and Candice; her great-grandchildren, Robert and Rylee; her sister, Delphine; and her brother, Thomas.

Visitation is from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 10:15 AM, Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial is at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.
