Gerald J. Beauvais

Gerald Joseph Beauvais was born November 28, 1934 in Pueblo, Colorado to Philip J. and Ernestine (nee Kottenstette) Beauvais. He died Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at his home.

Mr. Beauvais was a financial planner and former insurance agent with Connecticut Mutual and Mass Mutual. He was a 1956 graduate of Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa with a B.A. in English.

Jerry was an involved member of the Arlington Heights community having served as president of the Jaycees and recipient of the Jaycees Distinguished Service Award, past-president and board member Clearbrook Center, member Kiwanis Club of Arlington Heights, member of the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights, Charter Member, board member and officer of the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights Sunrise, member of the Million Dollar Round Table, member of the St. Viator Parents’ Board, member of the Big Ten Investment Club and ICL-Roosevelt University.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey (nee Thiel) whom he married June 15, 1957; his children, Jim Beauvais of DePere, Wisc., Dr. John (Kathe) Beauvais of Columbus, Neb., Beth Beauvais Walberg of Mt. Prospect, David (Cheryl) Beauvais of Pittsburgh, Penn, and Lisa (Tony) Beauvais Coleman of Chicago; his grandchildren J.P., Joey, Jaci, Jaimee Jude, Melanie, Matthew Beauvais, Charles and William Walberg; his sister Phyllis Clements; and his brothers Phil Beauvais (Babette) and Dr. Fred (Linda) Beauvais; his sister-in-law Beverly Beauvais and his brother-in-law Tom Margison.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lenore Margison, brother Don Beauvais and his brother-in-law Tom Clements.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Interment is private.
