Guy Viti

Guy Viti was born November 5, 1930 in Highwood to Guy and Esther (nee Alviti) Viti. He died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 peacefully at his home.

Mr. Viti was an excavator for many years and eventually opened his own business, Viti Inc. Excavating. He served the Army during the Korean War and was a member of Operating Engineers Union Local #150.

His survivors include his wife Betty Lou nee Guenther whom he married August 13, 1955; his daughter Cathy (Matt) Ryan of Arlington Heights; his grandchildren Joe, Katie, Matt and Danny; his sisters Felicia Ludwig, Grace Garlasco and Esther Viti and his brothers Vincent (Diane) Viti, Gabriel (Jeannine) Viti and Anthony (Beverly) Viti; his sister-in-law Dianne Viti; and many nieces and nephews.

Guy is preceded in death by his parents; his sister Maria Burns; his brother Blase Viti and his brothers-in-law William Ludwig and Larry Garlasco.

Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Friday, October 2, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Memorial Mass 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 3, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Parish 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Assn., 30 N. Michigan Ave., Suite #2015, Chicago, IL 60602.
