Margaret M. “Peg” Althoff
Of Arlington Heights

Margaret M. “Peg” Althoff was born October 9, 1933 in Winnetka, Illinois to Michael and Helen Cleary. She died Friday, September 29, 2007 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.

Before retiring, Mrs. Althoff worked in the collections department at Zurich American Insurance in Schaumburg for over 30 years. She was a member of American Legion Post #208 Women’s Auxiliary, Wheeling Township Republican’s Committee and was a volunteer at Northwest Community Hospital in the 901 Rehab Building.

Peg’s survivors include her daughter Margaret M. “Meg” (Gene) Quillen; her grandsons Steven and Eric; and her sister Catherine Stoltz.

She is preceded in death by her husband James, her parents and her brother-in-law Stanley Stoltz.

She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Visitation from 6:00 until 9:00 PM, Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment private.
