Frederick G. Lutes
Of Prospect Heights

Frederick G. Lutes, formerly of Mt. Prospect, was born April 5, 1937 in Monon, Indiana, to Chester and Nondis (nee Schaeffer) Lutes. He went to be with the Lord he loved on Sunday, September 2, 2007, following a year battling leukemia.

Fred was a graduate of Franklin College, Franklin, IN; Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, Oak Brook, IL and Aurora University, Aurora, IL. He was the pastor for churches in Ohio and the Chicago area.

Fred also worked as a school social worker, chiefly with Des Plaines School District #62. After taking early retirement he served as an administrator with the Department of Children and Family Services.

Fred is survived by his wife of 47 years Janice (nee Jesch) whom he married June 18, 1960; daughters Kristen (Gary) DiCicco of South Barrington and Karin (John) Lindstrom of Gardner Kansas; two grandchildren, Alyssa DiCicco and Brett Lindstrom. His siblings include sister Wanda Durham, Monon, IN, brothers LaVerne Lutes, Linden IN, Darryl Lutes, Westpoint, IN, Loren Lutes, Fayetteville, PA and Arthur Lutes of Holley, NY.

Visitation from 5:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Funeral service 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 6, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
