Leonard "Bucky" Bakalar
Of Arlington Heights

Leonard Bakalar was born November 6, 1929 in Streator, IL to John and Helen (nee Humenick) Bakalar. He died September 26, 2006 at Brighton Gardens in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Bakalar graduated from Arlington High School with the class of 1947. He was a member of the United Order of American Bricklayers and Stone Masons.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Hilde T. (nee Henricy-Drewes) Bakalar; his children, Michael Bakalar, Debra Plumb, Jeffrey Bakalar, and Russell Bakalar; his grandchildren, Brian, Lindsay, and Ryan Bakalar; and his brother, Theodore Bakalar.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald Bakalar.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, September, 29, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (four blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 12:30 PM, Saturday, September 30, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 1:00 PM. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
