Joseph Curt Schweizer
Of Hoffman Estates

Joseph Curt Schweizer, formerly of Arlington Heights was born January 9, 1964 in Chicago to Charles Jacob and Dolores (nee Siwkowski) Schweizer. He died Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at his home.

Mr. Schweizer was an electrician for nearly 20 years and a member of the IBEW Local #134. Joseph was an outdoors enthusiast who enjoyed ATV riding, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and golfing. He also played with the Drum & Bugle Corps in Elk Grove Village.

His family includes his wife Maureen nee McGovern and her son Syd; his mother Dolores Venema, he is preceded in death by his father Charles Schweizer and his step-father Paul Venema; his siblings James C. Schweizer, John C. (Susan) Schweizer, Jill E. (Hon. James) Lubing, Janet L. (Robert) Rathmann, Jeffrey C. (Diane) Schweizer and Joan "Lilly" (William) Berlett; his nieces and nephews Kyle, Laura, Sam, Kate, Kimberly, Kristina (his Godchild, Kolleene, Paul, Halley, Ashley and the late Robert "Bo", and his Uncle Harry and Aunt Judy Siwkowski.

Visitation from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM, followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 25, 2006 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 W. Palatine Rd., Inverness. Burial at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
