Otto U. Schmidt was born July 2, 1939 in Wheeling to Paul and Anna (nee Holtznagle) Schmidt. He died Sunday, September 10, 2006 in Buffalo Grove.

Mr. Schmidt was a retired bartender at the Conrad Hilton in Chicago.

Otto is survived by his children Victoria M. (fiancée Marcial Trevino) McElheny of Buffalo Grove, Carl U. Schmidt of Arlington Heights, and Bryan A. Schmidt of Arlington Heights; his grandchildren Michele Marie and David William McElheny and his siblings Rosanna Erickson and Paul Schmidt.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ernst Schmidt.

Memorial Mass 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 14, 2006 at St. Mary Catholic Church 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove.
