Richard A. Weidner
Of Arlington Heights

Richard A. Weidner was born September 23, 1913 in Buffalo Grove to Charles and Katherine (nee Schmit) Weidner. He died Saturday, September 2, 2006 at the Lutheran Home and Services in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Weidner was owner of Weidner TV Repair one of the first television repair shops in the area. He also had been employed by Stewart Warner where he designed and built radar test equipment for the government during WW II.

His survivors include his wife of 65 years, Rose nee Raupp, whom he married October 5, 1940; his children Janet (David) Cary of Arlington Heights, Lawrence (Shirley) Weidner of Lake Zurich, Arthur (Debra) Weidner of Palatine and Dale (Mary Kay) Weidner of McHenry; his 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Richard is preceded in death by is parents and his siblings Genevieve Lothary, Regina, Leonard, Joe and Edwin Weidner

Visitation Wednesday, September 6, 2006 from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial at St. Mary Cemetery, Buffalo Grove.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. James Church, 820 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
