MaryLou J. Cox was born May 25, 1934, in Chicago to Samuel and Elizabeth (nee Radoy) Owens. She died Saturday, September 17, 2005 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.

Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and former payroll clerk for Borden's Dairy in Elgin. She was a crossing guard in Arlington Heights for seven years and recognized by the Arlington Heights Police Department for her dedicated service.

Marylou is survived by her sons Richard D. Cox, Jr. and Samuel Cox both of Arlington Heights; her grandson Dylan; her sister Jean Mayer; 5 nieces and nephews and 1 great niece.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard.

Visitation Monday, September 19, 2005 from 3:00 until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and Tuesday, September 20, 2005 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Interment at Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago.
