George J. Kieffer

George J. Kieffer was born on November 23, 1930 in Chicago to Sylvester and Mary (nee Hock) Kieffer. He died Friday, August 30, 2013 in Prospect Heights.

To know George was to love him. He dedicated his whole life to his family. His greatest accomplishment was being the best husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend. He was his grandchildren’s biggest fan and a devoted life-long Packers fan.
 
He is survived by his spouse of 62 years, Arlene (nee Ernst) Kieffer; his children, Kurt (Joan) Kieffer, Lynn Reeves, Pam (John) Moran, and Scott (Jennifer) Kieffer; his grandchildren, Renee (Todd) McGrath, Kendall (Calene) Kieffer, Morgan Kieffer, Justin Moran, Cailey Moran, Taylor Reeves, Alyssa Kieffer, Lucas Moran, and Samantha Kieffer; his great-grandchildren, Emerson, Brayden, Harper, Kolton; and his siblings, Marie Miller, and Charles (Elaine) Kieffer.
 
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Jeffrey Kieffer; his brother, Milton Kieffer; his step-mother, Olga Kieffer; and his parents.
 
Visitation from 3PM until 9PM, Monday, September 2, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Hts Rd., Arlington Heights and from 10AM until time of funeral service at 11AM, Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church, 1624 E. Euclid Ave., Mt. Prospect. Interment Private.
