Louise Gragg Janssen

Louise Gragg Janssen was born on June 1, 1925 in Montrose, MO to Oral and Ruby (nee Kirk) Gragg. She died Tuesday, August 20, 2013 in Arlington Heights surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Janssen retired from Latoff YMCA. Louise was very active in her church, including but not limited to singing in the choir at the Community Presbyterian Church in Mt. Prospect. She enjoyed travelling extensively, especially to all 50 states and numerous trips abroad.

Louise is survived by her children, Deborah Lynn Dyer, Diane (Douglas) Arfmann, and Gregory Dale Janssen; her grandchildren, Kimberly Lynn Dyer, Ashley Nicole Arfmann, and Brian James Arfmann; and her great-granddaughter, Illiana Grace Dyer-Beale.

She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Dale Janssen, whom she married in 1945; and her parents.

Visitation Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 1:00PM until time of funeral service at 2:00 pm at Community Presbyterian Church of Mt. Prospect, 407 N. Main , Mt. Prospect. Burial will be at Montrose Cemetery in Montrose, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Lutheran Home & Services, 800 W. Oakton, Arlington Heights, IL 60004, Advocate Hospice, 3075 Highland Parkway, Suite 600, Downers Grove, IL 60515. or to Community Presbyterian Church of Mt. Prospect.
