Peter Kay was born on September 17, 1937 in Evanston to George and Jane (nee Pestka) Kay. He died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in Arlington Heights of Alzheimer’s Disease.

Mr. Kay worked as a glassblower and engineer for Borg-Warner Research Center in Des Plaines and John Crane in Morton Grove.

Peter is survived by his spouse, Susan (nee Messmann) Kay; his children, Stephen (Janet Straumann) Kay, Brian (Bonnie Mueller) Kay, and Georgianne Kay; his step-children, Lisa Gobbi, Anne-Marie (John Klarin) Kent Klarin, and Mark (Jane Goodwin) Kent; 16 grandchildren; his brother, Timothy (Patricia Manicki) Kay; and his ex-wife, Dawn Heinz,

He was preceded in death by his brother, James Kay; and his parents.

Visitation from 3pm until 9pm, Friday, August 16, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Prayers, 8:45am, Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the funeral home proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30am. Interment Private.
