Lillian Grace Casseday was born on June 12, 1917 in Mass City, MI to Joseph and Maryann (nee Grayson) Valley. She died Friday, August 9, 2013 in Glenview.

Lillian worked as a Judicial Administrative Assistant and for the Federal Crop Insurance Agency. Lillian loved to spend time with her family and was loved by all.

Lillian is survived her daughters, Joan (Walter) Casseday-Osterman, and Mary Ann Casseday; brother, Robert (Ann) Valley; nephews, Joseph Valley, and Robert (Marlene) Valley; and niece Sharon (Mark) Nelson, and many great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her spouse Joseph Casseday; her parents; and brother Lowell, who died at Pearl Harbor.

Visitation from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, August 12, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights IL 60004. Prayers 9:00 am Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at the funeral home proceeding to St. John Brebeuf Catholic Church, 8307 North Harlem Avenue, Niles, IL 60714 for a 10:00 am Funeral Mass. Interment at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter, 2050 Claire Street, Glenview, IL 60025 or Mayo Clinic Department of Cardiology, 200 First Street SW, Rochester, Minnesota 55905.
