Richard C. David was born on August 8, 1940 in Chicago, IL to Edward and Gertrude (nee Pekny) David. He died Thursday, August 8, 2013 on his 73rd birthday in Arlington Heights.

He worked as a tax preparer and sold insurance by profession. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling the outdoors, fishing, and collecting. He was generous, admired and highly respected by those whose lives he touched.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Constance M. (nee Catuara) David; his loving children, Carol L. (Michael) Carey, Richard G. (Karen) David, Michael (Kristy) David, Debra G. (Peter) Sutor, and John (Amanda) David; his cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Melissa, Kristine, Gretchen, Katherine, Rachel, Anna, Josie, Matthew, Michael, Lindsey, Katelyn, Angela, Jacob, Ray and Megan; and dear brother of Barbara (James) Erlenborn, Karen (Robert) McDonald, Thomas David, and Margaret (Francis) Woloszyk.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights and Monday, August 12, 2013 from 9:00 AM at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights until Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial is at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
