Dorothy S. Confer
Of Arlington Heights

Dorothy S. Confer was born on June 26, 1928 in Oak Park to Charles William and Mary Agatha (nee Cassidy) Smith. She died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Lutheran Home and Services of Arlington Heights.

Dorothy was a long time member at St. Edna’s Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister and belonged to the Ladies Guild. She worked for AllState Insurance from 1980 to 1993.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Leslie (Larry) Fieldman, R. Scott ( late Louann) Confer, and Claudia (Jeffrey) Pickholtz; her grandchildren, David (Marnee) Fieldman, Kimberly Kahl, Adam Pickholtz, Aaron Pickholtz, and Michael Pickholtz; her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Ashley, and Anthony Kahl Jr., and Jacob and Andrew Fieldman.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rodney R. Confer; her son Mark H. Confer and by her parents.

Visitation is from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home,Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights and Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment is at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
