Richard G. Norak
Of Mount Prospect
Richard G. Norak was born on
September 13, 1921 in Chicago to
George and Emma (nee Eisenhardt)
Norak. He died Tuesday, August 21,
2012 at the Lutheran Home in
Arlington Heights.
Richard worked as a Lithographer for
Edwards & Deutsch. He was a 44 year
member of St. Peter Lutheran Church
in Arlington Heights, where he
served as an Elder. He served as a
Seabee in the United States Navy. He
was the Ship Store Clerk for the
Guadalcanal Campaign Veterans.
Richard loved to spend time with his
family and friends, and was loved by
all.
Richard is survived by his daughter,
Jean (Fred) Riley; son-in-Law, John
Popp; grandchildren, Fred (Kimberly)
Riley, Dr. Christine Riley-Ridgeway
(Nicholas Ridgeway), Janelle Popp
(fiancé Steven Chaix), and Jason
Popp; great-grandchildren, Maranda
Riley, Mikayla, Malina and Michael
Ridgeway.
He was preceded in death by wife,
Shirley Norak, daughter, Jane Popp,
his parents, and sister and
brother-in-law, Evelyn (Clarence)
Barsky.
Visitation from 2:00 pm until 8:00
pm, Sunday, August 26, 2012 at
Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N.
Arlington Heights Road, Arlington
Heights, Illinois. In State Monday,
August 27, 2012 9:00 am and funeral
service to begin at 10:00 am at St.
Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive
St., Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Interment will take place at Memory
Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be
given to St. Peter Lutheran Church,
111 W. Olive Street, Arlington
