Veronica Putz
Of Arlington Heights

Veronica “Oma” Putz was born December 11, 1920 in Ghizela,Romania to Lorenz and Katherina (nee Kuchler) Schutz. She died August 15, 2012 at Church Creek Assisted Living in Arlington Heights.

Veronica was a kind, loving and extraordinary resilient woman. After WWII she was taken from her family and endured five years slave labor in a Russian coalmine. The untimely death of her husband left her as the sole provider and she remained working full time in a local electronics plant until her retirement at age 65.

Veronica is survived by her children Joe Putz, Minnie (John) Mueller and John (Lori) Putz; her grandchildren John (Lisa) Mueller, Kathy (Joe) Moore, Julie Putz, Kristin (Ethan) Williams, Joseph and John Putz; her great grandchildren Thomas and Rachel Moore.

Veronica is preceded in death by her husband Anton Putz; her children Sepp and Margaretha Putz and by her sister Margaret (late John) Pape.

Visitation from 4 until 9 PM, Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
